This stone is
fascinating for two reasons: it looks like it was made of red clay or
brick (but most likely red sandstone) and it's curved outward, as
though it was put on a dowel and carved. It has the Angel of Death in
flight on top, with rope-like carving on both sides. It reads:
"Mrs.
Zipporah Allen,
wife of mr. Ephrm
Allen died dec.r
28, 1769-"
(The rest is unreadable.) This remarkable stone is toward the back of
the cemetery.
