Detail of one of the gravestones. The Sun (in the center) is flanked by two cherub heads, with wings (on each side) outspread. The bottom has a runner with scrolls and bars, with the inscription below. A beautiful example of carving from that era (mid 1700's.)
The Sun rising represents Eternal Life, and the cherubs are the Soul's rebirth.
