The minute I saw this stone I was instantly enchanted.....It's absolutely gorgeous! Made of black slate, it has a beautiful heart with three angel cherubs: one laying in the top, one with its back holding up the right side, and the other facing you holding the left. It also has three pegs with funereal crepe draped over each peg, and a mammoth scroll underneath the heart. The epitaph reads:

"Here lies the dust of
REBEKAH TINGLEY,
wife of Samuel Tingley,
and daughter of
Jacob & Elizabeth Cushman
She died Dec. 6th,
1790,
aged 30
years."

The scroll can be read, but unfortunately the photo doesn't show it well. (I will add the rest as soon as weather permits).
