I loved this grave for the description, and the artwork. Made from
sandstone, it has the Burial Urn, and laurel leaves flanking each side, with
embossed lettering for the name. Reverend Wilder's grave is atop a hill facing
the dirt road; his family is nearby.
The Burial Urn represents Mortality--a receptacle for the bodily remains,
while the laurel leaves represent Victory over Death. The carving itself
is indented into the stone, while the lettering is carved (or embossed) individually.
