The Lownes/Nobel Monument.

A huge bronze angel, wings outspread, gazes at the ground, lost in thought or grief.
This monument is set towards the back of the cemetary at the start of a slope that leads to a cul-de-sac and the pond. The view is very scenic; I took this photo when the Sun went behind a cloud.

Usually monied families buried members under one monument; this one has two families that it serves. Perhaps it is due to a remarriage of the widow or the wife keeping her maiden name.

Circa 1935 or 1940.
