Sally King (1778)
This grave is near her brother John. During the 1700s infant mortality was
high due to illness and poor living conditions. Many didn't survive into adulthood;
families had as many children as they could so that a few would carry on
the family name. This was made of shale; it had no embellishment on it. Sally
was 9 months old when she died.
