Scottie French, Newman Cemetery

Scottie French stone.

I chose this stone because not too many stones have the type of ornamentation seen here...the flowered necklace draped on both sides, with a large urn on the top. He died 1834, aged 62. The stone is in great shape, made of black slate. His grave is less than 50 feet from the entrance of the old part of the cemetary.
