The Gage Bowen Monument.

Carved with the crest of his family, this is an above-ground table-style monument in the old part of the cemetary, made of grey marble. The epitaph reads:

"In Memory of GAGE BOWEN,  who departed this lyfe 8 February, 1776, in the 76th year of his Age.
He served in several important Offices and the
military in the Colony of Rhode Island,
with Honor to Himself and Benefit of his Country. Unshaken at the near approach of Death, Firm in the Faith and Hope of eternal Life, He fell asleep relying on the merits of his Redeemer."

This is toward the stone field, near the road.
