The Arnold family graves.
The oldest of these dates to 1726. Two of the graves, belonging to James
Arnold, Esq., and his brother, Joseph, had died from having contracted "yallow"
(yellow) fever elsewhere. They were 22 and 20, respectively. Yellow fever,
while treatable now, was lethal in most cases. I found the spelling of yellow
very curious...I've never heard it said "yallow." These graves, so close to
the street, is behind a large hill.
