Henry Bowen Anthony (1815-1884)

U.S. Senator, 1859-1884; Editor of the Providence Journal 1849-1850 & Governor of Rhode Island 1859-1884. He served as Senator until his untimely death in 1884, serving with distinction the citizens of Rhode Island and valued member of the Senate.

On his stone is a litany of his accomplishments and a tribute to a fine statesman, done in plaque style with little ornamentation.
